| Dell laptop AC adapters are made of the most rugged materials for the sake of portability and durability. The transformer casing of modern Dell AC adapters are made of extremely durable plastic to withstand any drops, kicks, or other wear and tear they may have to endure in the course of regular use. The cables themselves are also quite durable, as they are reinforced at all joints and are quite thick. When storing the AC adapter, both cables can be neatly wrapped around the transformer and secured with a flexible band attached to the adapter. This is a very convenient feature that makes Dell's AC adapters more portable than most.
Dell laptop AC adapters come in a range of configurations depending on the model. Most have a range of 15 to 20 volts, and provide anywhere from 60 to 90 watts.
