It was in 1938, that the company Hewlett Packard was first founded by two students at Stanford University, William Hewlett and David Packard, who decided the name of their company by the toss of a coin. Their first financially successful product was an oscillator which the Walt Disney Company invested in, to help them create their newest movie, Fantasia.
Since that time, HP has been responsible for many devices which we use today, which include personal computers, inkjet and laser printers, photo software, video cameras and a wide range of other products too numerous to count.
HP introduced an incredible inkjet printer in 1984, followed by a laser printer later that same year. There are many other printers available from HP, ranging from personal to business, and almost all of them are multifunction units capable of multiple tasks in one product. They also come in two basic forms, color and monochrome.
The highest end printer that they manufacture is the LaserJet CM6000, which costs around 6,000 dollars and is suited for large businesses that need a high-volume, reliable printing solution. There are a multitude of affordable printers at the consumer end of the scale as well. HP's range of products and price points ensures that there is a product to fit businesses of every size and need.
